Blue Jar, the Irish Gipsy Jazz group, is unique. They may have been influenced by Grappelli, Nora Jones, Eva Cassidy, The Rosenberg Trio and some others, but their style can only be described as Blue Jar – 'Music bottled at source.' Their combined talents and CV’s read like a Who’s Who of the world of music. The members of Blue Jar are from a mix of jazz, classical, showband, pop and rock backgrounds, but together they defy categorisation, they transcend any label. Blue Jar has played throughout Europe and Africa and continue to play in festivals throughout England and Ireland. With ‘Ducks and Geese’ to their credit, their second album ‘Pelican Crossing’ was released in mid-June.
